FTC Disclosure Policy

Required disclosure standards for all promotional activity, including material connection statements.

Effective date
August 1, 2026
Applies to
All partners

Why disclosure is required

Every Connect Med partner has a material connection to Connect Med because the partner can be compensated for qualified referrals. Under the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, that connection must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously wherever the partner promotes Connect Med.

How to disclose

  • Place the disclosure before or with the referral link or call to action — never only in a bio, a link-in-bio page, or below a "more" fold.
  • Use plain language: "I may earn compensation if you sign up through my link." or "Paid partnership with Connect Med."
  • On video, state the disclosure out loud and show it on screen long enough to be read.
  • On audio, state the disclosure verbally.
  • On images or stories, place a readable text overlay; hashtags alone are not sufficient.
  • Keep the disclosure in the same language as the promotion.

Not acceptable

  • Buried, tiny, low-contrast or scroll-away disclosures.
  • Ambiguous tags such as #ad hidden inside a hashtag block, #collab, #sp or #thanks used alone.
  • Disclosures placed only on a separate page from the promotional claim.
  • Fabricated testimonials, fake reviews, incentivized reviews presented as organic, or impersonation of Connect Med.

Claims that require care

Partners may not make medical, diagnostic, treatment or outcome claims, and may not present earnings examples as typical or guaranteed. Any earnings illustration must be identified as an example and accompanied by a statement that results vary. See the Marketing Compliance Policy for approved messaging rules.

Enforcement

Connect Med monitors partner promotional activity. Non-compliant content must be corrected or removed on request. Repeated or serious violations may result in commission reversal, payout hold, suspension or termination.

Questions

Questions about this document, program eligibility or compliance obligations may be directed to Connect Med partner support at support@myconnectmed.com. Connect Med compliance administrators are the final authority on program eligibility, payout holds, commission reversals and program exclusions.

This document is provided for program transparency and is not legal advice. Connect Med partners are independent contractors and are not healthcare providers. Referral compensation is never tied to medication selected, prescriptions issued, treatment chosen, provider decisions or amount spent.
